I was briefed by the Otto Foundation to design a library space for Holy Cross Primary School. The brief presented a variety of challenges, particularly after the school experienced a tragic fire that limited the available space.

Furthermore, we had to break down the project implementation into phases to support fundraising efforts step by step.

By working closely with the school staff, I identified a dark and underutilized space that had the potential to become a library. Considering the limited resources at the school, my goal was to create a multifunctional space. This area serves as the heart of the school, functioning not only as a place to store and read books but also as a hub for staff meetings, presentations, after-school programs, and potentially a future digital media lab upstairs.
