Bike Builders Workshop Design
A commission by the Kingdom of the Netherlands in South Africa to design a mini maker space that would form part of the Mobility Indaba's children's program. With the theme of active mobility in mind, we aimed to engage children in drawing, making, assembling, re-designing and hacking.
The space featured pre-designed push bikes that children could easily assemble with basic tools and additional loose parts for designing or re-designing their own modes of transportation.
Additionally, there was a ramp available for testing out their rides.

Children are encouraged to learn through doing, following their innate curiosity to create, experiment, and discover.
